Scotland’s Calum Hill shot a brilliant 61 (11 under par) in the second round of the Bapco Energies Bahrain Championship to take the solo lead at 16 under at the Royal Golf Club in Bahrain. He equalled the course record, making 11 birdies and no bogeys, giving him a four-shot advantage over his nearest rival, Germany’s Freddy Schott.
Hill’s round featured five birdies on the front nine and six on the back, combining accurate tee shots with precise putting.
