Andrea Kimi Antonelli claimed his first Formula 1 victory at the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit. The young Italian held off his rivals to win a dramatic 56-lap race that lasted 1:33:15.607.

Starting from pole, Antonelli led with confidence, showing strong pace and consistency. Despite a late-race tyre lock-up, he maintained the lead to cross the finish line first.

His teammate, George Russell, finished second, giving Mercedes F1 Team a one‑two result, while Lewis Hamilton took third for Ferrari F1 Team.

Several drivers failed to start due to technical issues, including Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri of McLaren F1 Team, as well as Gabriel Bortoleto and Alexander Albon. Max Verstappen retired later with a coolant problem.

At 19 years old, Antonelli became the second-youngest driver in F1 history to win a Grand Prix and the first Italian since Giancarlo Fisichella in 2006. The victory marks a major milestone in his career and highlights his rapid rise in Formula 1.
