South Africa got off to a strong start in their T20 series against West Indies, winning the opening match by 9 wickets at Boland Park in Paarl.

In reply, South Africa chased the target comfortably, finishing on 176 for 1 in 17.5 overs, with 13 balls to spare. Aiden Markram led the way with an unbeaten 86, striking nine fours and three sixes, while Ryan Rickelton supported him with 40 not out, ensuring a smooth chase.

George Linde impressed with the ball, taking 3 crucial wickets and earning the Player of the Match award. Keshav Maharaj and Corbin Bosch also chipped in with important breakthroughs, restricting West Indies to a total they could not defend.
