Batting first, India scored a massive 221/2, their highest-ever total in Women’s T20Is. Smriti Mandhana starred with 80 runs, Shafali Verma added 79, and Richa Ghosh contributed a quick 40*.
Chasing 222, Sri Lanka put up a strong fight, reaching 191/6. Chamari Athapaththu scored 52, and Hasini Perera made 33, but they fell short by 30 runs.
