Their confident batting kept the chase alive even as Sri Lanka’s bowlers applied pressure. Wanindu Hasaranga struck twice to give his team hope, but Bangladesh stayed composed.

The match went into the final over with Bangladesh needing 10 runs. They held their nerve and crossed the line with one ball to spare, finishing on 169 for 6.
