Amy Hunt and Romell Glave claimed the 100m titles at the UK Athletics Championships in Birmingham, both delivering standout performances in their respective finals.
In the women’s 100m, Amy Hunt defended her crown with a winning time of 11.01 seconds. She held off Dina Asher-Smith, who finished second in 11.13 seconds. Hunt controlled the race strongly in the final stages and secured another national title.
In the men’s 100m, Romell Glave produced a major breakthrough. He won the final in a personal best time of 9.98 seconds. Zharnel Hughes finished second in 10.01 seconds, while Louie Hinchliffe placed third in 10.03 seconds.
Both finals were tightly contested and decided by small margins. The performances highlighted strong form from Britain’s top sprinters. Glave’s sub-10-second run marked the biggest moment of the championships, while Hunt continued her dominance in the women’s sprint field.
