“The event is expected to draw major attention from motorsport fans around the world”

Max Verstappen will compete in the Nürburgring 24 Hours endurance race in 2026. The event fulfills a long-time personal goal in his racing career.

The four-time Formula One world champion will race at the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in Germany. The race runs for 24 hours from May 16 to May 17. Many drivers consider it one of the toughest endurance races in motorsport.

Verstappen will drive a Mercedes-AMG GT3 car for his Verstappen Racing team. He will share the car with Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon, and Daniel Juncadella.

The Dutch driver says the Nürburgring 24-hour race has stayed on his “bucket list” for years. He already raced at the circuit to gain experience. He also plans to enter more Nürburgring Endurance Series events before the main race.

Many drivers call the Nürburgring Nordschleife the “Green Hell.” The circuit features a long and difficult layout. Verstappen’s entry has excited motorsport fans. They now look forward to seeing the Formula One champion face this major endurance challenge.
