Paris Saint-Germain were eliminated from the Coupe de France after a surprise 1–0 loss to Paris FC at the Parc des Princes. The result shocked fans as PSG were the defending champions and strong favourites.
PSG controlled most of the game and created several scoring chances, but poor finishing let them down. Paris FC stayed organised in defence and their goalkeeper produced a series of important saves to keep PSG out.
The only goal of the match came in the 74th minute, when Jonathan Ikoné found the net for Paris FC, punishing PSG for missed opportunities. PSG pushed hard in the final minutes, hitting the crossbar and testing the goalkeeper again, but they could not score.
After the match, PSG manager Luis Enrique said football can be cruel and felt his team deserved more from the game. The defeat ends PSG’s Coupe de France campaign, forcing them to shift full focus to Ligue 1 and remaining competitions.
