“Germany’s experience from EURO 2024 will help create a smooth and modern tournament.”

Germany will host the UEFA Women’s EURO 2029 after winning the vote at a UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Nyon. The German bid beat Denmark/Sweden and Poland to secure the tournament.

The competition will feature 16 national teams and run across 31 matchdays. Germany will host matches in eight major cities: Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hanover, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich, and Wolfsburg. These stadiums also served as key venues during recent tournaments, giving Germany an advantage in readiness and experience.

The German Football Association plans to sell at least one million tickets. They hope the event will become the first Women’s EURO to generate a profit. The bid, themed “WE’29 – Together We Rise,” aims to grow women’s football, boost grassroots participation, and create long-term legacy programs.

Germany hosted the Women’s EURO in 1989 and 2001, making 2029 their third time staging the tournament. With strong stadiums and passionate fans, organisers believe this edition will elevate women’s football across Europe.
