“Another major title added to an already remarkable career for the Irish star”

Pádraig Harrington claimed his third U.S. Senior Open title with a superb final-round performance at Scioto Country Club. The Irish golfer finished at 12-under-par to secure a four-shot victory and successfully defend his championship.

Harrington began the final round one shot behind overnight leader Stewart Cink. He quickly took control with birdies on the opening two holes.

He maintained his momentum throughout the day and carded a final-round 66. The round included five birdies and just one bogey, sealing another memorable triumph.

Stewart Cink finished second at 8-under. George McNeill claimed third at 6-under, while Ian Poulter placed fourth at 5-under.

The victory marked another historic milestone for Harrington. He became only the second player to win the U.S. Senior Open three times. He also joined an exclusive group of golfers to claim back-to-back titles.

The win was Harrington’s fourth senior major championship and his 12th PGA Tour Champions victory. He also earned the $800,000 winner’s prize from the tournament’s $4 million purse.
