‘Trionda’ Unveiled by Adidas as FIFA World Cup 2026 Match Ball

Adidas has revealed the official match ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, named Trionda. This marks the 15th consecutive World Cup ball supplied by the German sportswear brand.

The name “Trionda” combines Tri (three) and Onda (wave), symbolizing the three host countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The ball features red, green, and blue wave designs, representing each nation, along with emblems such as a maple leaf, an eagle, and stars to reflect their unity.

Trionda is made with only four panels, the fewest since the 2014 Brazuca. It incorporates Adidas’ Connected Ball Technology, with a motion sensor that transmits real-time data to assist VAR decisions. Its textured, seamless surface improves aerodynamics, stability, and grip in all conditions.

The Pro match ball is priced at $170, while the Competition version costs $65. Both are available at Adidas stores and selected retailers.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described Trionda as “a symbol of unity and passion”, highlighting its role in enhancing the World Cup experience for players and fans.
