Belgium secured a convincing 4-1 victory over the United States to book their place in the FIFA World Cup quarterfinals. The Red Devils produced a dominant Round of 16 performance in Seattle.

Belgium made a perfect start as Charles De Ketelaere opened the scoring in the ninth minute. The United States responded in the 31st minute through a brilliant Malik Tillman free kick. However, Belgium regained the lead just two minutes later when De Ketelaere headed home his second goal.

Belgium stayed in control after the break. Hans Vanaken extended the lead in the 57th minute. Substitute Romelu Lukaku then added a fourth goal in stoppage time to complete an impressive team display.

De Ketelaere starred with two goals and an assist. Vanaken also impressed with a goal and an assist. Belgium punished defensive mistakes and created the better chances throughout the match.

Belgium will now face Spain in the World Cup quarterfinals. The defeat ended the United States' home campaign despite an encouraging run to the Round of 16.
