“Five teams, one trophy, and a season full of intense T20 battles ahead”
The Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2026 has officially started, bringing exciting T20 cricket action with top Sri Lankan players and international stars competing for the championship.
The tournament begins with Jaffna Kings facing Galle Marvels in the opening match at the SSC Grounds in Colombo. The match will start at 7:30 PM local time.
Five teams will compete in this year’s tournament, with 24 matches scheduled across the league stage and playoffs. Teams will battle throughout the tournament before the top sides advance to the knockout rounds.
