“Lahore’s bowlers keep constant pressure, never giving the opposition a chance”
Lahore Qalandars started their Pakistan Super League 2026 campaign with a strong win over Hyderabad Kingsmen in the opening match.
Batting first, Lahore Qalandars scored 199/6 in 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman led the innings with a solid 53 runs, while Mohammad Naeem added 30 in a strong opening partnership. Haseebullah Khan provided a quick 40 towards the end, and captain Shaheen Afridi finished the innings with powerful hitting in the final overs.
In reply, Hyderabad Kingsmen struggled during the chase and were bowled out for 130 runs. They lost early wickets and failed to build momentum, slipping to 97/7 at one stage.
Lahore’s bowling attack was impressive, with Haris Rauf, Sikandar Raza, and Ubaid Shah taking two wickets each. Their consistent pressure kept Hyderabad on the back foot throughout the innings.
This dominant victory gives Lahore Qalandars a strong start to the tournament and places them at the top of the points table early in the season.
