Tadej Pogačar strengthened his grip on the 2026 Tour de France after delivering a stunning solo victory on the Bastille Day stage. The Slovenian rider dominated the challenging 166.6km mountain route from Aurillac to Le Lioran, finishing the stage in
3 hours, 58 minutes, and 8 seconds.

Pogačar made his decisive move on the Col de Pertus climb, launching a powerful attack that left his main rivals unable to respond. He continued to build his advantage through the final climbs before crossing the finish line 32 seconds ahead of Remco Evenepoel, while Paul Seixas secured third place.

The victory marked Pogačar’s third stage win of this year’s Tour de France and the 24th Tour stage victory of his career. His impressive climbing performance also helped him extend his overall lead in the yellow jersey standings to 3 minutes and 36 seconds over Jonas Vingegaard.
