“The final race in Abu Dhabi will decide the championship among three contenders.”

Max Verstappen kept his championship hopes alive with a strong victory at the Qatar Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver took control of the race after an early safety-car period and capitalised on a strategy mistake by McLaren.

Oscar Piastri started on pole with a qualifying lap of 1:19.387, and he also set the fastest lap of the race with 1:22.996. However, McLaren missed the chance to pit under the early safety car, which pushed both Piastri and Lando Norris into a tougher strategy.

Verstappen pitted early, gained track position, and managed his pace well throughout the race. Piastri recovered to finish second, while Carlos Sainz claimed third for Williams.

The result tightens the championship battle. Norris still leads, but only by 12 points ahead of Verstappen, with Piastri slightly behind. All three drivers now head to the final race in Abu Dhabi with the title still open.

With strong one-lap speed from McLaren and consistent race pace from Red Bull, the season finale is set for a dramatic showdown.
