Gloucester’s Champions Cup campaign ended after a 31–14 home defeat to French side Toulon at Kingsholm Stadium. Toulon took control early, with Gaël Drean and Mathis Ferte scoring tries, and Lewis Ludlam adding another to build a strong lead before half-time.

Gloucester fought back with tries from Jack Clement and Tomos Williams, both converted by George Barton, but they could not close the gap. Toulon full-back Marius Domon contributed crucial points with four conversions and a penalty, while Drean added a late bonus-point try to seal the victory.

The loss meant Gloucester finished bottom of Pool Two, ending their Champions Cup run and leaving them without a spot in the Challenge Cup. Toulon, on the other hand, secured second place in the group and a home tie in the Round of 16, giving them momentum heading into the knockout stages.

Despite the defeat, Gloucester showed determination and effort, but injuries and Toulon’s dominant performance proved too much. The team will now turn their attention to domestic competitions for the remainder of the season.
