“A century of tradition, and the passion for tennis still grows stronger in Sri Lanka.”

The 111th National Tennis Championship has officially begun at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) courts in Colombo, marking another exciting chapter in the country’s sporting history. Powered by YETI, this year’s event brings together Sri Lanka’s top tennis players alongside rising stars from across the island.

The tournament will feature men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and junior events, promising plenty of action and thrilling rallies. Spectators can look forward to intense matches, great sportsmanship, and unforgettable moments on court.

At the opening ceremony, SLTA officials highlighted their goal of promoting tennis at every level—from school competitions to national championships. They also thanked YETI and other sponsors for helping raise the standards of the event and providing strong support to the players.

Now in its 111th year, the National Tennis Championship is more than just a competition—it’s a celebration of Sri Lanka’s love for the sport and a platform for the next generation of tennis talent to shine.
