Sri Lanka national under-20 football team produced a thrilling comeback to defeat Maldives national under-20 football team 3–2 in the SAFF U-20 Championship.

Maldives made a strong start and took control of the match in the first half. They scored twice to build a 2–0 lead and looked comfortable going into the break.

Sri Lanka came back with great energy in the second half. They increased their attacking pressure and began creating more chances. Mohamed Katheem scored the first goal to reduce the deficit. Ahmed Hijazi then found the equalizer, bringing Sri Lanka level.

As the match entered the final stages, Sri Lanka continued to push forward. Hussein Abdullah scored the winning goal, completing a dramatic turnaround and sealing a 3–2 victory.
