The Sri Lanka men’s rugby team, known as the Tuskers, concluded the 2025 Asia Rugby Sevens – China leg in fourth place. In the third-place playoff, they narrowly lost 17–22 to China, missing out on a medal in a closely contested match.

During the group stage, Sri Lanka faced tough opponents, Hong Kong China and South Korea, and suffered losses in both matches. However, the team bounced back by defeating Malaysia, which earned them a spot in the playoff for third place.

The Tuskers showed strong teamwork, resilience, and fighting spirit throughout the tournament, despite facing setbacks in the early rounds. Coaches and fans praised the team for their performance and noted that this experience will be valuable for their development in future international competitions.
