Sri Lanka started the 2025 Asia Rugby Emirates Sevens Series strongly, defeating Uzbekistan 26–14 in their opening Pool C match at the Racecourse Stadium in Colombo. The win thrilled the home crowd and boosted the team’s confidence for the tournament’s final leg.
From kickoff, Sri Lanka used sharp attacking moves and quick passes to break through Uzbekistan’s defense. Early tries gave them control.
