“Keeping my focus sharp and staying patient helped me control the match from beginning to end.”

Jannik Sinner booked his place in the semi-finals of the 2025 Paris Masters by defeating Ben Shelton 6–3, 6–3 in the quarter-finals. With this win, Sinner extended his indoor hard-court winning streak to 24 matches and continued his dominance over Shelton, marking his seventh straight victory against the American.

The match started strongly for Sinner, who controlled the baseline rallies and served consistently to take the first set quickly. Shelton showed moments of resistance in the second set, even breaking Sinner’s serve to level the score briefly, but Sinner broke back and closed the set 6–3.

Sinner now faces Alexander Zverev, the defending champion, in the semi-finals. The win not only secures his spot in the final four but also keeps him in contention for the world number one ranking.

Sinner reflected on his performance, saying, “I felt solid and aggressive from the baseline, which helped me control the match. I’m looking forward to the next challenge against Zverev.”
