“Pakistan finish with a bang, but Bangladesh take the glory!”
Pakistan ended their T20I series against Bangladesh on a high note with a commanding 74-run win in the third and final match in Mirpur. However, Bangladesh had already secured the series by winning the first two games, sealing a 2-1 series victory.
Batting first after being put in, Pakistan posted a solid 178 for 7. Opener Sahibzada Farhan led the charge with a composed 63 off 41 balls, while Hasan Nawaz (33) and Mohammad Nawaz (27) chipped in with valuable runs. Taskin Ahmed and Nasum Ahmed were the pick of the Bangladeshi bowlers, each claiming three wickets and restricting further damage.
Bangladesh’s chase got off to a disastrous start, collapsing to 25 for 5 in the powerplay as Pakistan’s bowlers dominated early. The hosts never recovered and were bowled out for 104 in 16.4 overs, handing Pakistan a comprehensive win.
Despite the defeat in the final match, Bangladesh’s back-to-back wins in the opening games were enough to seal the series. Pakistan, meanwhile, avoided a clean sweep and ended the tour with a confidence-boosting performance.
