“The new design reflects a balance of tradition, innovation, and championship ambition”
McLaren have officially launched their new Formula 1 car, the MCL40, as they prepare for the upcoming season. The reveal took place at a special event in Bahrain and was streamed live to fans around the world.
The MCL40 features McLaren’s famous papaya-orange livery, mixed with dark and teal accents. The design keeps the team’s traditional look while adding a sharper, more modern style. Drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will race the new car throughout the season.
McLaren enter the year with high confidence after strong results in recent seasons. Team bosses Zak Brown and Andrea Stella said the MCL40 is built to handle the new regulations and deliver better performance on track.
The car has already completed early shakedown runs, and it will now go through full pre-season testing in Bahrain. These tests will help McLaren fine-tune the MCL40 before the first race of the season.
McLaren hope the MCL40 will keep them competitive and allow them to fight for wins and podiums from the very start of the championship.
