Indonesian weightlifter Rizki Juniansyah made history at the 2025 IWF World Weightlifting Championships in Forde, Norway. He competed in the men’s 79 kg category. Juniansyah won the gold medal and set a new world record in the clean and jerk by lifting 204 kg.

He also lifted 157 kg in the snatch. His total of 361 kg was just 1 kg short of the overall world record. He defeated strong competitors Ri Chong Song from North Korea and Abdelrahman Younes from Egypt. This showed his skill and determination.

At only 22 years old, Juniansyah is already an Olympic champion. He previously won silver medals at the world championships in 2022 and 2024. His latest victory adds to Indonesia’s growing success in international weightlifting. It also inspires young athletes across the country.
