Team Spirit’s skill and teamwork led them to a confident win at the 2025 Esports World Cup.
In a showcase of world-class precision and team synergy, Team Spirit emerged as champions of the 2025 Esports World Cup Dota 2 tournament, proving once again why they’re considered one of the most dominant forces in the game.
Their campaign began with a shaky start—a 1-1 draw against Xtreme Gaming in the group stage—but what followed was nothing short of perfection. Team Spirit went undefeated through the playoffs, dispatching elite squads with clinical precision and capping off their run with a decisive 3-0 victory over Team Falcons in the Grand Final.
While Team Falcons showed promise throughout the tournament, they struggled to match Team Spirit’s coordination and momentum in the final. Spirit’s path to the title saw them dispatch top-tier opponents including Talon Esports, NAVI, PVISION, and reigning champions Gaimin Gladiators.
For their efforts, Team Spirit take home $1,000,000 in prize money and 1,000 Club Championship points. The victory marks their second major title of the year and adds another strong finish to their growing list of achievements in 2025.
“There wasn’t much pressure in the final—it felt pretty smooth,” said captain Iaroslav “Miposhka” Naidenov. “Our team is in top form, and the fan support here made it even better.”
Magomed “Collapse” Khalilov was recognized as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player following a series of standout performances. He receives an additional $10,000 bonus and an MVP medal in honor of his impact.
Entering as the third seed on the EPT leaderboard, behind PARIVISION and BB Team, Team Spirit’s performance further cements their reputation as a dominant force in global Dota 2. With more events ahead, they’ve established strong momentum in the race for the Club Championship title.
