“The innings gives New Zealand a commanding advantage in the three-match series.”

New Zealand batsman Devon Conway scored a brilliant double century in the third Test against the West Indies at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Standing at 224 not out by lunch on the second day, Conway led New Zealand to a strong position.

Earlier, Conway and Tom Latham put on a massive 323-run opening partnership, dominating the West Indies bowling attack. Their partnership ranks among New Zealand’s highest first-wicket stands and gave the team a solid foundation.

By lunch on Day Two, New Zealand reached 424 for 3, carrying forward the momentum from Day One. Conway’s innings marked his first double century in four years and remains one of his highest scores in Test cricket.

The performance puts New Zealand in a commanding position in the three-match series, which they currently lead 1–0. With this strong start, the Black Caps look well set to continue their dominance in the series.
