“This victory signals Bridgeman’s arrival as a serious contender on the PGA Tour”

Jacob Bridgeman claimed his first PGA Tour title by winning the 2026 Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles. He finished at 18-under-par, just one shot ahead of Rory McIlroy and Kurt Kitayama.

Bridgeman entered the final round with the lead and managed to stay calm under pressure. He closed with a level-par 72 and secured victory with a steady par on the 18th hole. The win marked a major milestone in his career, coming in only his third full season on the PGA Tour.

McIlroy pushed hard in the final round, shooting a four-under-par 67 to climb the leaderboard. A brilliant bunker birdie on the 12th hole highlighted his charge, but he finished at 17-under-par, one shot short of forcing a playoff. He shared second place with Kitayama.

The tournament was part of the PGA Tour’s Signature Events and celebrated the 100th year of the Genesis Invitational. Bridgeman’s victory earned him a significant winner’s prize and confirmed his breakthrough moment on the Tour.
