Bangladesh completed a dominant 3–0 series victory over Afghanistan in Sharjah, sealing the clean sweep with a six-wicket win in the final T20I.
Afghanistan scored 143 for 9, with Darwish Rasooli and Sediqullah Atal making small contributions. Bangladesh’s bowlers were sharp again — Mohammad Saifuddin took 3 for 15, and Nasum Ahmed claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Bangladesh chased the target in just 18 overs. Saif Hassan led the charge with an unbeaten 64 from 38 balls, while Tanzid Hasan added 33.
Saif Hassan was named Player of the Match for his explosive batting. Left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed earned the Player of the Series award for his consistent performance.
Captain Jaker Ali praised the team’s all-round effort, saying the series showed Bangladesh’s growing strength in T20 cricket. Rashid Khan admitted Afghanistan needed to improve their fielding and consistency.
The clean sweep was Bangladesh’s first-ever T20I whitewash over Afghanistan, giving them a strong boost ahead of the upcoming ODI series.
