“His performance surpassed Kobe Bryant’s 81-point game and drew widespread praise”
Bam Adebayo recorded one of the highest-scoring games in NBA history, leading the Miami Heat to a 150–129 victory over the Washington Wizards.
Adebayo scored 83 points, making it the second-highest single-game total in NBA history, behind only Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point record. He also surpassed Kobe Bryant’s famous 81-point game.
He started the game strongly, scoring 31 points in the first quarter and 43 by halftime. By the third quarter, he had 62 points and continued to dominate in the final period.
Adebayo shot 20-for-43 from the field, 7-for-22 from three-point range, and 36-for-43 from the free-throw line, setting new NBA records for free throws made and attempted in a single game. He also added nine rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two blocks.
The performance broke the Miami Heat franchise record for most points in a game, previously held by LeBron James, and extended the team’s winning streak. This game is now remembered as one of the most remarkable individual displays in modern basketball.
