“The focus remains firmly on racing, not on the disruptions”
The Formula 1 season will begin from March 6 to 8 at Albert Park in Melbourne. Conflict in the Middle East has disrupted flights and forced the closure of major aviation hubs such as Doha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Despite these challenges, organisers confirmed the event will go ahead as scheduled.
Travel issues affected several team members flying from Europe to Australia. Formula 1 quickly changed travel plans and arranged chartered flights. Nearly 500 staff members reached Melbourne in time for the race weekend. Teams continued their preparations without major delays.
Australian Grand Prix Corporation CEO Travis Auld reassured fans about the situation. He said spectators will not notice any changes to the event. Practice sessions will take place on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and the main race on Sunday.
Officials continue to monitor the situation ahead of races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. However, the focus in Melbourne remains on racing. Teams and drivers are ready to begin the new season with confidence and excitement.
