The Sri Lanka Army won the overall championship at the 13th Defence Services Motorcross Championship, held at the Gajaba Supercross Track in Saliyapura. Eighteen riders from 11 regiments competed across five intense races.

The Army’s riders earned 12 medals: 5 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze, showing their dominance and skill. Gunner T.N. Kumara of the Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment stood out as the Best Rider of the Championship. He won both the MX 125cc and MX 250cc categories with exceptional talent and determination.

Major General K.M.P.S.B. Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander of the Security Forces – Wanni, served as the Chief Guest at the awards ceremony. Senior officers and other ranks joined in celebrating the Army’s achievements.
