“History remembers those who keep raising the standard when everyone is watching”

Marc Márquez claimed a commanding victory at the 2026 German MotoGP, completing the 30-lap race at Sachsenring in 40:53.148. Starting from pole position, the Ducati Lenovo Team rider controlled the race from the opening lap and finished 1.996 seconds ahead of Ai Ogura, while Raúl Fernández completed the podium.

He also completed a perfect weekend after winning Saturday’s Sprint Race. Márquez averaged 161.6 km/h and maintained a flawless pace throughout the race, leaving his rivals with little chance to challenge for the lead.

Several front-runners, including Álex Márquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio, crashed out during the race. Their retirements allowed Márquez to comfortably extend his advantage while managing the closing laps with confidence.

The victory was Márquez’s 10th MotoGP win at Sachsenring, matching Giacomo Agostini’s record for the most premier-class victories at a single circuit. It was also the 102nd Grand Prix win of his career across all classes.

With another dominant performance, Márquez strengthened his championship challenge and once again proved why Sachsenring remains one of his strongest circuits. The victory gave Ducati another memorable success and valuable momentum for the remainder of the MotoGP season.
