Karolína Muchová reached her first Wimbledon final after defeating Coco Gauff in a thrilling three-set semi-final battle. The Czech star secured a dramatic 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (12-10) victory after an intense contest that lasted over two hours.
Muchová controlled the opening set with her variety and intelligent shot-making, taking it 6-2. However, Gauff responded strongly in the second set, using her powerful game and athletic ability to level the match with a 6-1 win.
The deciding set became a tense battle as both players fought for every point. In the final tie-break, Gauff came close to victory with a match point opportunity, but Muchová stayed calm under pressure and completed an incredible 7-6 (12-10) win.
The victory sends Muchová into her first Wimbledon final, where she will compete for her first Grand Slam title. Gauff’s impressive run ended after a memorable fight, but the American once again showed her quality on the biggest stage.
